To promote the innovative development of local industries in Hualien and enhance industrial competitiveness, the Hualien County Government has launched the "Explore Hualien - Immediate Departure Hualien - Local Group Internship and Visit Incentive Program," offering a reward of 3.9 million yuan to support local SBIR businesses through group internships and visits to stimulate local economic development. A press conference was held on September 30 to announce the event details, inviting Hualien residents to form groups to experience the most authentic industrial culture and unlock hidden routes. The incentive plan encourages businesses to collaborate with other SBIR businesses to form a one-day visit itinerary, providing in-depth guided tours. Each SBIR business can apply for a maximum reward of 260,000 yuan (upon completing the guided tour, each group can apply for up to 13,000 yuan reward). The reward items include dining, experience activities, and nine-seater transportation costs, thereby encouraging cooperation among businesses to promote industrial linkage development.

The plan is expected to end on November 30 or until the reward funds are exhausted. Activities form groups of eight people, taking a nine-seater bus. Group members must be registered in Hualien (or have an ID number starting with U) or work in Hualien, and must visit at least two SBIR industry learning points. Zhang Zhanyi, manager of Yipinchun Soy Sauce, expressed gratitude to the county government for strongly supporting local SBIR specialty industries and youth entrepreneurship during this most challenging time, allowing more people to see different aspects of Hualien's industry.

The Hualien County Government has been promoting the "Local SBIR Industry Innovation R&D Promotion Plan" for more than ten years, successfully assisting 102 companies in obtaining R&D subsidies for transformation, achieving outstanding results in their respective fields. In 2021, the SBIR innovative technology field subsidized company "Green Point Living Co., Ltd." won the 2024 TWSC (Tokyo Whisky & Spirits Competition) gold medal award with "Classic Gin." In 2023, the SBIR innovative service field subsidized company "Jiajia Restaurant" won the 2024 Ministry of Economic Affairs Commercial Development Agency's top ten selected special bento boxes with the circular meal box "Ji'an Bao Box."

Ming Liangzhen, Director of the Civil Affairs Department of the Hualien County Government, stated that the incentive plan is the result of close cooperation between the county government and local enterprises. It is hoped that by encouraging private group visits and corporate innovation displays, cooperation and exchanges between industries will be promoted, attracting more local residents to participate in innovative activities, enhancing the local reputation and social influence of enterprises, strengthening the competitiveness of Hualien enterprises, and continuously driving local economic development.

Guests attending the press conference included Hualien County Council Deputy Speaker Xu Xueyu, councilors Wu Jianzhi, Dibu Si·Yi Lai, Lin Zeji, County Government Industrial Policy Committee Secretary-General Zhang Fubin, and village heads from Hualien City and Ji'an Township; SBIR businesses such as Yipinchun Trading Company, Original Good Co., Ltd., Jiajia Restaurant, Muxuan Coffee, Zhenyi Marble, and Fusheng Environmental Enterprise Co. participated together.
