HSH Hualien Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition
Project Introduction
Global entrepreneurship is on the rise year by year. Through various competitions, unique startups are discovered and nurtured, allowing young people to turn their ideas into reality and practice entrepreneurship. In recent years, Hualien County has actively developed a high-quality entrepreneurial environment conducive to the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and has promoted youth entrepreneurship policies. The focus is on cultivating local and returning youth, integrating regional resources, and collaborating with industry, government, academia, and research sectors. This collaboration aims to reduce investment costs and entrepreneurial risks, leverage cultural, agricultural, and ecological assets, and align with and develop Hualien’s unique industries. The goal is to encourage local businesses and youth to dream big and stimulate industry transformation and innovation. The past three editions of the HSH Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition have helped local youth secure numerous entrepreneurial resources and achieve top honors in national competitions, including first prizes and gold medals at international invention exhibitions. This has provided many young people with opportunities to develop their ventures post-competition.
This year, the HSH Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has partnered with the "Zhan Guo Ce" entrepreneurship competition brand to expand its overall impact. The competition will now be held nationwide as the "2024 HSH and 19th Zhan Guo Ce National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition." It will also be linked to the United Nations' "2030 Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs), encouraging youth to propose innovative ideas that address local needs and social issues. This approach aims to create new and sustainable business models while solving societal problems and generating profits.
