2026 "Sustainable Kaohsiung: Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge" Call for Entries Begins!
1. Purpose of the Competition:
The second "Sustainable Kaohsiung: Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge" aims to cultivate young entrepreneurial talents, focusing on net-zero sustainable development and digital technology application as core themes. It combines entrepreneurial resources from Kaohsiung's industry, government, and academia, widely inviting young entrepreneurs to unleash creativity and develop innovative ventures using digital technology. This competition integrates an accelerator mechanism, inviting industry experts to provide resource connections and guidance to help teams optimize business models and technology applications. Selected teams can receive professional courses, entrepreneurial guidance, financial support, and market expansion opportunities, creating impactful innovative services and products, and advancing Kaohsiung's progress in the fields of sustainability and smart technology.

3. Organizing Units: Kaohsiung City Government Youth Bureau, ASE Environmental Sustainability Foundation
4. Eligibility:
(1) Apply under one of the following categories:
1.Startup Enterprise Group: Startups established on or after January 1, 2017, and must meet the criteria of "company or business with a paid-in capital of less than NT$10 million" and "the person in charge is a youth aged 18-45."
2.Startup Team Group: The participating team must consist of more than 2 people, with at least 1/3 being youth aged 18-35.
(2) To ensure fair competition resources, teams that reached the finals in the 2025 competition are not allowed to participate again this year.
5. Registration Period: From now until April 8, 2026 (Wednesday) 23:59.
6. Competition Themes:
(1) Required conditions for competition topics: The content must be related to Kaohsiung, including but not limited to the development, production, or sales of products, business services, or solutions related to Kaohsiung.
(2) The direction of the competition topic must meet at least one of the following:
1.Net-Zero Sustainable Development: The competition theme must meet one or more of the United Nations SDGs 17 sustainability indicators. It may include but is not limited to energy transition, carbon emission reduction, circular economy, green technology, or sustainable social solutions, with practical feasibility.
2.Digital Technology Application: Includes but is not limited to application systems or solutions that enhance industry competitiveness, technology added value that facilitates industry upgrade and transformation, product innovation and technology integration, intelligent data analysis and customer experience optimization, smart city construction, AI-driven business solutions, etc.
7. Competition and Reward System
1. Prize Money:
(1) Startup Enterprise Group: Champion NT$1 million, Runner-up NT$500,000, Third place NT$300,000.
(2) Startup Team Group: Outstanding NT$150,000, Excellent NT$100,000, Emerging Potential Award NT$60,000 (3 teams).
2. Guidance and Training: Finalist teams can receive pre-final guidance training courses and resources such as post-final funding matching and domestic and international exhibitions.
