"Youth Power" is a youth interview publication published by the Hualien County Government Youth Development Center this year, compiling stories of 10 entrepreneurial youths deeply rooted in Hualien. Their industries span agriculture, fisheries, the audio-visual industry, and manufacturing, showcasing the true image of Hualien youth responding to the land with action and creating the future with creativity in diverse fields.
On this land embraced by mountains and sea, youth are no longer just choosers of staying or leaving but are actors redefining their relationship with the place. This publication records how they start from scratch, return to their hometowns to practice, and move to deeply root themselves, transforming local characteristics into products and services, gradually realizing ideals in daily life. These stories may not be flamboyant, but they profoundly demonstrate the resilience, creativity, and sense of responsibility of Hualien youth when facing challenges.
The Youth Development Center has long supported youth in taking crucial steps through entrepreneurial guidance, startup bases, subsidy support, and policy participation mechanisms, while continuously listening to the voices of young people, making them important partners in public governance. "Youth Power" is not only a written record but also a translation platform of youth energy, allowing efforts to be seen and experiences to be passed on.
We hope that through this publication, more young people will see that dreams are not just imagination but possibilities that can be gradually realized on this land of Hualien. We also hope to let the world see the creativity and influence nurtured by Hualien youth.
