從咖啡館到推廣工作室:嘻哈與原民 文化的交會
退伍後返鄉回到花蓮，呂歷玄先開了一間 「Flavor H」咖啡館。然而，街舞與嘻哈始終在 心裡燃燒，他決定把文化與社區行動結合，於 2020 年創立 FLAVOR HUALIEN 文化推廣工作室。
身為阿美、布農族混血，他敏銳地察覺到 原民文化與嘻哈文化的相似之處:原住民族有 樂舞、吟唱與圖騰，嘻哈則有舞蹈、饒舌與塗鴉。 於是，他開始走入部落，拜訪耆老與學者，探討 哪些古調、樂舞可以與嘻哈共創。
2022 年，他的團隊走進薄薄部落，蒐集田祭、 豐年祭、成年禮的聲音素材，製作屬於部落的成長 主題曲與影片。最特別的是，影片裡甚至有長輩 跳起 WAVE(電流舞)的片段，「他們說那是 『海浪』!」呂歷玄開懷地說。
讓饒舌與塗鴉走進社區
FLAVOR HUALIEN 的行動不只停留在舞臺。 他們走進文化健康站、社福中心，陪伴長輩與 孩子:一起街舞、寫歌詞、畫塗鴉。有位長輩 在歌詞裡寫下自己每天買保利達、喝小酒的日常， 無意間留下了連照護師都不一定能掌握的生活紀錄; 孩子們則因為接觸舞蹈、塗鴉與饒舌，開啟更多 想像，發現人生可以有不一樣的可能性。
多年耕耘下，FLAVOR HUALIEN 不僅榮獲 2024 年信義房屋社區一家計畫幸福社區類楷模獎、 2024 年 Changemaker 金獎，呂歷玄也擔任花蓮 縣第三屆青年發展諮詢委員，代表青年發聲。 他說:「能感受到縣府與青年發展中心對嘻哈文化 的支持，這份力量，讓孩子們有機會把天賦變成 行動。」
FromCafétoCulturalPromotionStudio: Where Hip-Hop Meets Indigenous Roots
After finishing his military service, he returned to Hualien and, in 2020, launched FLAVOR HUALIEN cultural promotion studio, a hub that bridges hip- hop with tribal heritage.
As someone of both Pangcah and Bunun descent, he quickly saw the parallels: Indigenous culture thrives in dance, chants, and totems, while hip-hop pulses through breakdance, rap, and graffiti.
In 2022, his team stepped into the Pukpuk tribe, recording sounds from traditional festivals and turning them into an anthem of growth for the community. The project even saw elders joining in as they moved to the wave (waving).
Bringing Rap and Graffiti into the Neighborhood
FLAVOR HUALIEN also reaches into indigenous cultural and health centers and social service hubs, where elders and kids come together to dance hip-hop, write lyrics, and paint graffiti. Elders capture their daily lives in song, while kids discover brand-new possibilities in life through street dance, graffiti, and rap.
Years of dedication have paid off: in 2024, FLAVOR HUALIEN was honored with the Role Model Award, Happy Community Category, from the We Are One project, and the Changemaker Gold Award. Today, Shane also serves as a member of the Hualien County Youth Advisory Committee, standing up and speaking out on behalf of young people.
