Hualien is a land full of hope, and our young people are its most precious source of energy. I believe that with appropriate support and resources, Hualien can be the place where young people build their dreams, grow, and drive local sustainable development.
Since the establishment of the Youth Development Center, we have provided diverse entrepreneurial resources to help young people take their first steps. Our Startup Hub and Startup Accelerator provide comprehensive office spaces and professional counseling and courses to help startup teams gain a solid footing. The Hualien County Youth Entrepreneurship loans and interest subsidies ease the financial burdens of young entrepreneurs, ensuring that dreams are not thwarted by real-world obstacles.
At the same time, we have organized a variety of programs and competitions to empower young people to transform their creativity into tangible actions, provide promising ideas with market entry opportunities to create real-world value, and showcase Hualien's creativity to the world.
We also actively invite young representatives from diverse fields to form the Youth Advisory Committee, where they collaborate with county government departments to co-design innovative youth policies. In this way, young people are no longer passive recipients of policy but essential partners in shaping the future. Through such dialog, young people’s ideas can be truly integrated into public decision-making, bringing new momentum to Hualien.
I hope that every young person can find their own stage in Hualien. Your efforts will be the brightest pride of Hualien. The county government will continue to accompany and support you, working together to create a vibrant and creative Hualien for the new generation.
